EID was started as a direct assault on Naturalism which is the reigning philosophy of modern science and discriminates against any and all non-naturalistic thought by labeling it 'Religious'. Naturalism accomplishes this by claiming that it is 'True Science', all the while failing to realize that is every bit as subjective and faith-based as the ID or Creationist paradigm. Atheism is assumed to be true and scientists are trained to carry out research with their eyes closed to any possibility that God may be part of the equation. Naturalism arrogantly claims, "We're on the side of fact, and everything else is personal, deluded opinion." Growing up as a Young Earth Biblical Creationist, I was frequently ashamed of it, and often felt that I held my beliefs in spite of the overwhelming 'scientific evidence' against them. Imagine my shock when I discovered that the evolutionists themselves know they don't have the evidence, and that they manufacture their theories in spite of overwhelming evidence against evolution! What could cause intelligent (even brilliant!) men and women to bang their collective heads against the brick walls of 'proving evolution' when every new discovery in geology, paleontology, genetics, probability, information theory, design inference, and even cosmology throws a monkey wrench into evolutionary thought and creates a new obstacle for which these brilliant minds must now conjure new and contrived explanations? The answer is Methodological Naturalism. The quotes on this site are meant to demonstrate how far naturalistic scientists will go, (as Professor Lewontin has said), to preempt any possibility of letting a "Divine Foot" in the door. It has now become a relief and joy to discover that the evidence supports the Biblical view, and that evolutionists (God bless 'em!) are researching, preaching, and believing their philosophies in spite of the evidence. (Better them than me.) By the way, if you are a scientist who is tired of the narrow-minded straitjacket of naturalism, come in out of the cold. The Creator would love to talk with you. Don't worry, He's not mad; He died for you and loves you and designed you to be indwelt with His Holy Spirit and fellowship with you. (It's a symbiotic relationship.)
